The valley is located in the picturesque northernmost part of Italy, from the Sella massif of the Dolomites northwards to the Alpine Puster Valley in the south. Enjoy breathtaking views of the iconic limestone mountains, lush alpine pastures and serene meadows. Day 1. Arrival at La Valle (Wengen)
Individual arrival at the mountainside village of La Valle (Wengen in German). Take the time to submerge in the extraordinary atmosphere and enjoy the unbelievable beauty of the surrounding landscape. The unique language you will hear the locals speak is Ladinic.

Day 2. Round walk La Valle – Crusc de Rit – La Valle (12,7-17,3km, 5-7hrs, +745-921m/-745-921m)
The first day for your independent hiking tour will take you on a circular walk around the charming little village of La Valle and pass the alluring Sas De Crosta (Pares) mountain. Take a break for some amazing panoramic pictures at Crusc de Rit and admire the views over Val Badia on the south, and the Valpusteria and Austrian peaks on the north. The trail continues across forests and pastures offering many more amazing views along the way. There is an option to shorten the itinerary if you feel like taking it easy on your first hiking day.

Day 3. Round walk Pederoa – Spizan - Pederoa (13km, 5hrs, +772m/-773m)
The starting point for your second independent walk is the village of Pederoa. It is easily accessible from La Valle (2m away) on foot, by local bus or with a pre-arranged private transfer. The route avoids asphalt roads as you gradually ascend through forests and lush meadows offering stunning panoramic views of La Valle and the neighboring mountains and the fascinating Monte Putia. You will then follow the trail down along the Gran Ega stream and back to Pederoa.

Day 4. Passo Valparola to Corvara (14,9km, 6hrs, +572m/-1181m)
After breakfast, a short organized transfer takes you to the starting point of today’s self-guided walking route - Passo Valparola. An amazing panoramic walk along the Sett Sass awaits you with breathtaking views of Val Badia the Marmolada glacier from the Pralongià.

Day 5. La Valle to Rifugio Fanes (13,8km, 6hrs, +1278m/-563m)
Today you will walk along stony footpaths enjoying the view of the rock faces of the Sasso delle Nove and the amazing Pares ridge. The last ascend to Ju De Sant Antone is quite steep but you will be rewarded with breathtaking views of the valley and the Fanes-Senes-Braines Natural Park. You follow the trail across beautiful high altitude pastures until you reach Rifugio Lavarella and Rifugio Fanes. It is worth taking a short detour to the gorgeous Lé Vërt and Limo lakes.

Day 6. Return from Rifugio Fanes to La Valle (20,1km, 8hrs, +790m/-1511m)
Today’s self-guided walking route is more challenging with long steep sections but the fascinating landscape will make your physical efforts worthwhile. Climb to the alpine lake Lech Parom through a dense larch forest and enjoy the view of the peculiar sheer vertical rock surfaces of the neighboring Dolomiti peak. You can avoid the steep ascend by following a gradual hiking trail. It is also possible to descend to Val di Medesc through a narrow stone canal to La Crusc. Cross the Armentara meadows and arrive back to La Valle.

Day 7. Round walk Longiarù – Rifugio Genova - Longiarù (13,4-17km, 5-6hrs, +950-1110m/-950-1110m)
The last self-guided hiking trek part of your itinerary is a circular walk from Longiarù and back. Longiarù and La Valle are connected with a local bus line. You start with a steep ascend reaching the side of Monte Putia - the most distinctive peak of Val Badia with its peculiar shape. You continue toward Rifugio Genova where you can have a rest and enjoy the scenery. Enjoy spectacular views of the Puez-Odle Natural Park and the Fanes massif as you advance. Return to Longiarù through the Seres valley distinguished with its typical ancient watermills. There is an option to shorten the route by 3km.

Tips
Daily departures between June and the end of September. Moderate to demanding mountain walks on well-marked paths. Basic experience in mountain walking is recommended as well as an active, healthy general level of fitness and stamina. The paths are well maintained though sometimes stony or steep. Most walks can be extended or shortened. The altitude changes per day are between 500 and 1300 m. Easiest arrival to starting point through Innsbruck or Verona airport and then by train to Brunico. You can either take a taxi directly from Brunico to La Valle, or take a local bus to Pederoa (40 minutes) followed by a taxi to La Valle (2 km). Private cars could be left at the parking area of the hotel in La Valle. There are a few local buses running from Pederoa to La Valle each day. Some local buses don’t run on Sundays, so you need to prearrange a transfer at the moment of the booking.
Accommodation
6 night accommodation on half board basis in a 3* hotel with wellness centre in La Valle (breakfast + dinner included); 1 night in a 3* type mountain hut (dorms, shared facilities; classic South Tyrolean style and marvelous panoramic terrace) on half board basis with breakfast & packed lunch included (drinks excluded; a la carte dinner can be ordered and paid on spot); The three 10-bed dorms in the hut have bunk buds and bathroom in common. In these dorms, blankets are provided however you must take your own sleeping sheet/sleeping bag and towel. If you do not have one, you can purchase it there. Luggage transfer is not included in this trip as most of the days you spend on one place. When you walk from La Valle to Fanes hut, take a day pack with an overnight change of clothes. Your luggage remains at the hotel in La Valle.
N.B. Overnight in the Fanes/Lavarella/Ucia dles Muntagnoles Hut is as standard placed on day 5, but it can be moved from day 2 to day 6 depending on availability
