You follow a trail to the lush Rossalm alpine pasture and then to Plätzwiese. In the distance you can see the mountains Cristallo, Tofana and not the least the world-famous Drei Zinnen (Three Peaks). There is an option for an easier start of the tour. If you choose this option, your driver will take you to the Tuscherhof guesthouse which will be your starting point. The Plätzwiese pasture is a famous starting point for many hiking trails which gives you the wonderful opportunity to choose between two possible routes. Depending on your preferences for today’s walk, you will either follow a trail to Strudelkopf (the shorter option) or Dürrenstein (the longer option). Both routes offer breathtaking views on the Hohe Gaisl, the Drei Zinnen, the Tofana, and the Monte Cristallo summit.

You have two options from there - either end the hike there and take the afternoon off by reaching Cortina d’Ampezzo by public transport or continue following the self-guided walking route notes to the Ra Stua hut and continue to Cortina d’Ampezzo passing the famous Col Rosa.
