Day 1: Dubrovnik
Meet and greet at Dubrovnik Airport and organized transfer to your hotel. Overnight in Dubrovnik.
2
Day 2: Dubrovnik – Elafiti Islands (Lopud/ Šipan) - Dubrovnik
Today you will have the option to explore one of the islands from the small archipelago of the Elaphities, stretching just off the coast of Dubrovnik. You can visit Šipan or Lopud Island but our recommendation is to take a walk on Lopud Island. The day will start with a transfer to the port, where you will catch a boat to your desired destination. The overnight is again in Dubrovnik. Lopud (10km, 3-3,30hrs, +320m/-320m) - charming and relatively quiet place with good beaches and without cars. Ruins of a fortress and palace, churches and a restored Franciscan monastery remind of the rich culture that was flourishing on this small but strategically very important island in the past. Šipan (13km, 4hrs, +255m/-255m) - rich families used to build summer residences on this island in the past. You will walk between its two biggest settlements Sudjuradj and Šipanska Luka. In Šipanska Luka you will have opportunity to try some local meals and enjoy a swim in the sea. Return back to Sudjuradj is necessary in order to catch the boat back for Dubrovnik in the afternoon.
N.B.: If rough weather makes it impossible for a passenger ferry to operate, guests will not be able to sail to the island and do this walk (ferry tickets will be non-refundable).
3
Day 3: Dubrovnik (guided tour) – ferry to Mljet Island
Check out, leave your luggage in the hotel’s storage room and get a public bus/taxi to the Pile Gate – the main entrance to Dubrovnik’s old town. This is where your guide will be expecting you for a 2hrs tour revealing the history and culture of Dubrovnik (UNESCO heritage listed). Spend some time on your own and be ready for an organized transfer in the afternoon to the port, where you will catch a ferry to Mljet Island. The island of Mljet is one of the 8 Croatian National Parks and is often referred to as the “green island”. Overnight in Pomena or Polače (if you are staying here a local transfer will be organized to your accommodation).
N.B.: If rough weather makes it impossible for a passenger ferry to operate, guests will travel between Pelješac Peninsula and Mljet with a shuttle van and on larger car ferries, creating a longer travel day.
4
Day 4: Mljet Island – Korčula Island (16km, 5hrs, +410m/-410m)
Today’s section of the independent walking route will take you around the salt lakes within the national park area of Mljet for some stunning views and perhaps a lovely picnic on the beach. You can take a hike to the Montokuc peak with an amazing view on the islands and lakes. If you stay in Polače you will have organized transfer to Pomena in the afternoon where you will take the ferry to Korčula Island. An organized transfer will be expecting you there, and will take you to your accommodation.
N.B.: : If rough weather makes it impossible for a passenger ferry to operate, guests will travel between Mljet and Korčula with a shuttle van and on larger car ferries, creating a longer travel day.
5
Day 5: Korčula Island – Hvar Island (14km, 4,30hrs, +200m/-510m)
After breakfast leave your luggage at the hotel’s storage room and get a short transfer to village of Pupnat. From there you start walking towards Korčula - a home town of Marco Polo, a great setting to explore, and a fine example of the stone carving craftsmanship, which evolved here in the 15th Century. In the afternoon you will get a transfer to the port of Korčula, where you will take a ferry to Hvar. Overnight in Hvar.
N.B.: If rough weather makes it impossible for a passenger ferry to operate, guests will travel between Korčula and Hvar with a shuttle van and on larger car ferries, creating a longer travel day.
6
Day 6: Hvar Island – Split (12km, 3,30hrs, +340m/-535m)
After breakfast leave your luggage at the hotel’s storage room and get a short transfer to Lavanda view point above the village of Velo Grablje. Here starts your walking tour towards the town of Hvar. You will pass through old villages, see traditional architecture and descent through olive groves to Malo Grablje, where lavender was once main product to export and where locals had first lavender distillery. Further down you pass by Milna village meandering along pine trees and wild Mediterranean garden all the way to the town of Hvar. In the evening hours you will take the ferry to Split, where you will stay overnight in a hotel located inside the Diocletian palace (old town). Overnight in Split.
N.B.: If rough weather makes it impossible for passenger ferry to operate, guests will travel with shuttle van to Stari Grad and then on larger car ferries that operate the lines between Stari Grad and Split, creating a longer travel day.
