Day 1 – Arrival in Härnösand
After checking-in at your B & B you might want to explore Härnösand. Murberget, the biggest open-air museum of Sweden, is well worth a visit. This museum was founded by Theodor Hellman, who during decades collected buildings as well as objects with connection to this part of Norrland. We then suggest that you finish this day with a dinner at the quay in the Guest Harbour where you can enjoy the street life as well as the marina.
Day 2 – Hornöberget - Lövvik (3hrs, 10km, +360/-380m)

Before you start your walk along the The High Coast Trail you will get further information and a packed lunch. This trail will take you on a walk along the old coastal country road to Nyadal. After a delightful breakfast out on the porch, where you often are served fresh seasonal berries from the surroundings, you will be more than ready for today’s walk. You leave the Bed & Breakfast and follow the trail for a short while along the road. Approximately two kilometers walk from Lövvik, you’ll have the opportunity to leave the trail for a visit at Valkallen. This is a famous mountain, that is 240 meters high, where you will get the most beautiful view of The High Coast. From this point you will be able to see the mouth of Ångermanälven, the famous bridge of The High Coast and the nature reserve of Storön. The path via Valkallen connects to The High Coast and then continues to Halsviken, where the trail reaches the ocean. The trail follows the coastline and you have multiple opportunities to find wonderful places where you can rest and enjoy the scenery. You then reach Grönviksfjärden, where you’ll leave the coast. The trail then follows a road until you reach Fjärdbotten. Where it’s also possible to take a well-deserved break. It then continues along a path through woods and swamps until you reach a forest road, which takes you to the end of the road at Tybettjärnen. From here the trail takes you uphill, you will pass over Kotrångberget and Jon-Nilsberget. The trail goes through more woods and bare rock to Lidnipan. Here you can leave the track and make a short detour to Nipstugan, a perfect place for a rest and enjoy the majestic views over the High Coast. The last part of this day of walking goes down to Lidebro and further on to your accommodation in Östanö.
Day 4 – Lidebro/Östanö – Häggvik and Mannaminne (4hrs, 15km, +340/-315m)
After another delicious breakfast it is time to leave Lövvik. Your host will give you a lift to Eden, just north of Lidebro. Today´s walk is easy and lingers its way alongside beaches, coves and capes. As the trail leaves the coast it will continue through talking woods and through agricultural districts. When you reach Ånge you will leave the trail to continue on a gravelled road, at late summer bordered by colourful flowers, to Häggvik. On your way to Häggvik you will pass the scenery over Gaviksfjärden and Vågfjärden that, after the elevation, became a lake. Just before Mannaminne you will be passing by Wedins salting-house where they used to produce fermented Baltic herring and perhaps an enthusiast could still smell the fish. Mannaminne at Häggvik is your final destination on this sector. This is a rather odd and original place. First of all you will notice the Chinese dragon and when you arrive you will be surrounded by lots of houses and heaps of objects. This place is the life-time achievement of Anders and Barbro Åberg and could be described as something in between a museum and an art gallery. Before dinner you will have time to walk around and explore it yourself.
Day 5 – Mannaminne – Ullånger and transfer to Skuleskogen (5hrs, 17km, +470m/-490m)
After breakfast you continue your walk north on a country road. This road takes you alongside Vågfjärden and through a beautiful open landscape towards Nordingrå. When you reach the church In Nordingrå you will be joining the The High Coast Trail again. Soon after this you will pass Köringsberget, where you have the option to make an extra climb to get a superb view over Vågfjärden. The trail will take you through a changing landscape. You will be passing flat rocks, agricultural land and finally walk through dense spruce wood. Before you reach Ullånger you will pass Ringråberget and Erikskojan.
In Ullånger you pick up your luggage and onward travel with privat transfer to Skuleskogens Pensionat. After a check-in at the Pensionat you perhaps you would like to make a short walk or just relax before the dinner is served.
