1
Day 1. Arrival in Puerto de Alcúdia
Arrival in Palma de Majorca. Individual journey to Pt. Alcúdia (bus timetable at www.tib.org).

Day 2. Coastal walk on the peninsula of Alcúdia (15,5km, 5-6hrs, +690m/-820m)
The first section of the independent walking tour follows the trail between the Pollenca bay and the beautiful coastal town of Alcúdia. The trail ascends from the coastline to a rocky peak holding some gorgeous views. The path becomes particularly panoramic as it winds through the hills and gradually takes you back to the lovely historic town of Alcúdia and the promenade of Pt. Alcúdia.

Day 3. From Pt. Alcúdia to Monastery Lluc (13km, 4-5hrs, +600m/-220m)
After a healthy breakfast, an organized transfer will take you to Pollenca where you will follow the famous pilgrim path to the Lluc Monastery. With the breathtaking view of the arching peaks of the Serra de Tramuntana in the background, you will follow the self-guided walking route up and pass Puig Tomir. Enjoy the blessed shade of the stone oak trees and the rural landscape of orchards and meadows. Reward yourself with a visit of the magnificent Lluc Monastery awaiting at the end of the path.

Day 4. Pilgrim path Cuber Reservoir (15km, 5-6hrs, +600m/-890m)
An organized transfer will take you to the Cuber Reservoir in the morning there you will have the opportunity to walk along another section of the pilgrim path to the Lluc Monastery. The alpine-like terrain offers great views of imposing rocky summits, lush valleys, and the rocky coastline. This is one of the most beautiful sections of the independent hiking tour in Mallorca. Return to the Lluc Monastery for overnight.

Day 5. From Lluc Monastery to Puerto de Sóller (12km, 4,30hrs, +300m/-990m)
Today you will follow the self-guided walking route from the beautiful Cuber reservoir to the L’Ofre pass contemplating magnificent panoramic views of the Serra de Tramuntana peaks along the way. Ascend to the top of Es Cornador peak and enjoy the view of the city of Palma. Continue hiking along the iconic panoramic trail of the Biniaraix gorge until you reach the charming town of Sóller welcomed by the wonderful orange plantations. Hop on the old tram for a ride to the Port de Sóller.

Day 6. Coastal path from Deia to Puerto de Sóller (12km, 5hrs, +300m/-430m)
A morning transfer will take you to the artistic village of Deia and the trailhead of today’s independent walking route from Deia bay to Sóller. You will enjoy a diverse coastal trail with some breathtaking viewpoints along the way. Descend back into the Sóller valley and enjoy your evening in the beautiful coastal town Port de Sóller.

Day 7. From Pt. Sóller to Playa de Palma (13km, 3,30hrs, +10m/-40m (Playa) or +370m/-360m (Fornalutx)
For your last day on this self-guided hiking tour, you will enjoy an unforgettable train ride across the orange fields down to the city of Palma. The train passes along the Tramuntana mountains and through the rich fields of Palma. Follow the beach promenade to the busy Playa de Palma and explore the historic old town of Palma with its narrow streets and heritage sites.
There are several options to choose from for this day: 1) From the hotel in Pt. Soller you can go by a small panoramic train (not incl.) in about 15 minutes to Soller. From Soller you may start a short walking tour to the beautiful village Fornalutx and afterwards - walk back to Soller. The itinerary will take you through olive groves, almond trees, and orange plantations. Back in Soller the you will take the train (incl.) to Palma. From Palma you can walk along the coast to your hotel at the Playa de Palma or you can alternatively take the bus to the Playa de Palma. 2) Go by a small panoramic train (not incl.) in about 15 minutes from your hotel in Pt. Soller to Soller. From Soller you will take the train (incl.) to Palma. In Palma you may have a guided tour through the city (optional service, bookable during the tour briefing on arrival; costs appr. EUR 8 per person, duration approx. 3,30 hours.) and then walk along the coast to your hotel at the Playa de Palma or you can alternatively take the bus to the Playa de Palma. Either way your main luggage will be transferred in the meantime from your hotel in Pt. Soller to the hotel in Playa de Palma, so you will not have to carry it with you at all times.

Day 8. Departure day
Our services end after breakfast. Individual departure or extra days. You can take a taxi back to Palma de Mallorca Airport for appr. 30-35 EUR.

Tips
Arrivals on Fridays & Sundays only (!) from the beginning of February till the end of June, and then from the beginning of September till the second half of October. Surefootedness and stamina are required for walking times up to 6 hours. You are rewarded by an unusual and beautiful perspective of Mallorca. The paths can be rocky therefore sturdy walking boots are necessary. Getting there: By plane to Palma de Mallorca Airport. Take coach to Palma bus station and then approx. 1 hr. to Pt. Alcúdia (www.tib.org). Return from Playa de Palma to the airport: short ride by taxi, cost approx. EUR 30-35 per fare.
